A Skill Harbor house build: a collective investigation, refereed by your own Muse inside a group chat you own. A light, fictional crime is announced in the group, a vanished trophy, a stolen recipe, a mascot plant held for a ransom in biscuits, never anything violent or real, and the players, 3 to 8 of them, become the investigators. Over 2 to 4 days of asynchronous play (or a single evening, if the host chooses short deadlines), they interrogate 3 or 4 invented suspects, one present at a time in the thread, cross-check what they hear, and finally accuse one suspect by vote. The suspects are invented characters, never players and never real people. Your assistant is the referee, and the sealing is the whole design. Before the first interrogation, the referee generates the complete dossier in one pass and writes it into a sealed state file: the full truth of the crime, the culprit, the motive, and at least two cross-checkable traces. Each suspect gets a sealed knowledge table, what they know, what they wrongly believe, what they hide and the precise question that alone can reveal it, the one exact lie they may repeat word for word, and what they simply do not know. When your assistant plays a suspect, it answers in character strictly within that table: it never improvises a fact, never lets pressure crack a lie, and says "I don't know" when the table says so. The culprit never confesses; the game is won by cross-checking, not by an admission. A distilled clue, written word for word in advance, is published at the close of each interrogation phase, deductions can be logged at any moment in the format DEDUCTION: ..., and only the final vote, in the format ACCUSATION: ..., settles the collective win, individual points reward the vote for the real culprit and up to three exact deductions logged before the fact became public. Honest prerequisites: installing the skill files needs nothing at all. Playing needs a Muse assistant and a messaging account you connect to it yourself, Messenger first, plus a group on it that you designate. The assistant referees from your own account, and every public message needs your approval before it is sent. If you also play, suspect answers go out on a presentation template you approve once, the referee fills them from the sealed tables and never shows you the filled versions in advance, you discover them in the thread like every other investigator; that protection is procedural, a matter of trust, and the announcement says so plainly. The game is covered by the Skill Harbor House License: free to use, all rights reserved.

Before you start: tell me in a few lines what this skill does and what installing it involves, and wait for my go-ahead. Prerequisites: none for installing the skill files. To play a game afterward, I need a messaging account connected to my assistant (Messenger first) and a group on it that I designate; the assistant referees from my own account, and public game messages need my approval before they are sent. Install "The Collective Investigation" for me. It turns my assistant into the referee of a group investigation game in my own group chat: a light fictional crime is generated and sealed in a state file before the first interrogation, suspects are played in character strictly within their sealed knowledge tables, distilled clues arrive on a set rhythm, and a final accusation vote decides the win. Download SKILL.md and the three helper files into a temporary folder, keeping the two reference files inside a references subfolder and LICENSE alongside SKILL.md. 2. Compare each file with the fingerprint from Skill Harbor's review of 2026-10-10: - SKILL.md: SHA-256 7e051050456fee41cfa4e6017ebfee354a534db041e3427a92e2bef42b702b62 - references/collective-investigation.md: SHA-256 4ef9c53431a7577c602799f3d8217d23fd011736dbd270295ec04c8aa64c7999 - references/group-messaging.md: SHA-256 3e92c77f104757180cfa9e0e3530c45113e4b8f84614770754469aef9eecaff4 - LICENSE: SHA-256 d7db27db632a56a432d4f883c89507f031215e665f4806dfcd2dea15c0fb8271 If a file does not match, it changed since the review: do not install it yet, tell me what you found and let me decide. 3. Read the files and tell me in plain words: what the skill does when used, whether it connects to a service, whether it reads or sends any personal information or keys, and anything that seems unusual. 4. When I say yes, copy the files into my skills folder, in a folder named "collective-investigation", keeping the two reference files inside their references subfolder and LICENSE alongside SKILL.md. 5. Check the copy opens correctly (valid frontmatter, files in place) and tell me what was installed, where, and what is left for me to do: connect my messaging, designate my group, and fill in the player config in my own data folder. GitHub is optional: if I have a GitHub account or the gh CLI, you may use it; otherwise public access is fine. Rules: only touch the temporary folder and the install target. If something seems off, stop and ask me.

Questions
How do I install a build?
Every product page includes a copy-paste install prompt. Paste it into your Muse and it sets the build up for you — no manual configuration.
Where does my money go?
Straight to the seller. Skill Harbor never processes payments: checkout happens on the seller’s own page, usually Stripe.
What does the ✓ next to a creator’s name mean?
It means we confirmed the identity of the person behind the listing. It says nothing about the code itself — always check a build before installing it.
