Volume Breakout

Is that breakout real? A state machine checks the close, the volume, and the follow-through before calling a move above resistance confirmed.

⚠️ **Trading warning / Avertissement trading** : informational only, not investment advice. Most breakouts fail, and a framework that labels them carefully still cannot tell you which one will run. Curated by Skill Harbor: a breakout validation workflow from the Weaxs stock-analysis-plugin. It first pins down the resistance that matters (the 60-day high, a platform ceiling, the MA60 or MA120 overhead, the upper Bollinger band, a round number), then walks the move through four states instead of declaring victory on one strong candle: Setup (a clear level with volatility and volume contracting into it), Trigger (a close through the level on expanding volume and range), Acceptance (later closes holding above, a retest that does not break down on volume, relative strength intact), and Failure (a close back inside the range or heavy selling against the move). The output is a trade plan with one chosen trigger style, an invalidation level, a time stop, a target from the next resistance or the measured range, and the resulting reward-to-risk, plus the data gaps and the conditions under which the right move is to not trade. From the Weaxs/stock-analysis-plugin repository (MIT). Honest caveats: the source SKILL.md is written in Chinese; the fixed thresholds traders often quote (a volume ratio, a percentage gain) are treated here as market-specific parameters to backtest, not as universal constants, which is honest but means you must calibrate them yourself; an intraday poke above resistance without a confirming close stays a Setup, so the workflow will often tell you to wait. Skill Harbor never reviews the code, review it yourself before use.

How to check a build before installing →

Use "Volume Breakout" with your Muse. Prerequisites: clone the repo once (git clone https://github.com/Weaxs/stock-analysis-plugin) and keep the folder handy; Python 3.10 or newer. The skill runs its bundled gather script from the cloned repo and fetches candles through the plugin's multi-source pipeline (several sources are free, a few such as Tushare, Finnhub, or Alpha Vantage need their own free API key or token). No brokerage account is required. Heads-up: the source SKILL.md is written in Chinese, and its companion short-term trading framework lives in the stock-analysis skill's references folder of the same repo. 1. Open the skill: https://github.com/Weaxs/stock-analysis-plugin/blob/main/skills/volume-breakout/SKILL.md and copy the full SKILL.md text. 2. Paste it into a chat with Muse and add: "Judge the breakout on this ticker: which resistance matters, which state are we in (Setup, Trigger, Acceptance, or Failure), and what evidence would move it to the next state?" 3. Do not let an intraday spike rush you: without a confirming close above the level, the workflow keeps the state at Setup, and so should you. Tip: when a plan is produced, note the stated reward-to-risk; the workflow is designed to withhold the plan when the target is too close to justify the invalidation distance. Safety: a skill is plain-text instructions; it runs nothing by itself. This is informational only, not investment advice.

Questions

How do I install a build?

Every product page includes a copy-paste install prompt. Paste it into your Muse and it sets the build up for you — no manual configuration.

Where does my money go?

Straight to the seller. Skill Harbor never processes payments: checkout happens on the seller’s own page, usually Stripe.

What does the ✓ next to a creator’s name mean?

It means we confirmed the identity of the person behind the listing. It says nothing about the code itself — always check a build before installing it.
