Twitter Reader

Read Twitter and X for market research through your own browser session: timelines, search, trends, bookmarks, threads, profiles and notifications.

⚠️ **Trading warning / Avertissement trading** : informational only, not investment advice. What fintwit is shouting about is a sentiment sample with loud biases, not research consensus: a viral thread can be wrong, paid, or posted after the move, and trading on it carries a real risk of loss. No output here is a promise of return. Curated by Skill Harbor: a read-only reader for Twitter and X, built for financial research, that runs through opencli and reuses the Chrome session you are already logged into, so there is no X API key and no cookie extraction. It reads your home timeline (for-you or following), tweet search with top or live filters, trending topics, your bookmarks, any account's recent tweets, full threads, long-form articles, profiles with follower counts, followers and following lists, and your notifications, returning structured fields for each tweet (author, text, timestamps, likes, retweets, replies, views and media links). Presentation is part of the skill: lead with what matters for the research question, attribute each tweet with its handle and engagement, group search results by theme, and note the bullish or bearish lean and whether a view looks like consensus or contrarian. From the himself65/finance-skills repository (MIT). Honest caveats: this reader is honest about reading a third-party platform through your own account and tools: you need Chrome with the opencli Browser Bridge extension installed, Node.js 20 or later, and your own x.com login active in that browser, and if the session expires the fix is to log in and refresh in Chrome, not to hand over credentials; X rate limits apply and the answer to a limit is to wait; search results reflect what X chooses to surface, which is not a neutral sample of opinion; and the reader is strictly read-only, it cannot post, like, retweet, reply or follow, even though the underlying tool exposes some write commands the skill forbids using. Skill Harbor never reviews the code, review it yourself before use.

How to check a build before installing →

Use "Twitter Reader" with your Muse. Prerequisites: Google Chrome where you are logged into your own x.com account, the opencli Browser Bridge extension installed and enabled in that Chrome, and Node.js 20 or later with opencli installed. No X API key is needed and no password is ever asked: the reader reuses your existing browser session through your own tools. Run opencli doctor first to confirm the daemon, extension and session are healthy. 1. Open the skill: https://github.com/himself65/finance-skills/blob/main/plugins/social-readers/skills/twitter-reader/SKILL.md and copy the full SKILL.md text (the skill also reads its included references/commands.md and references/schema.md, keep the repo folder handy). 2. Paste it into a chat with Muse and add: "Search X for what people are saying about [TICKER or TOPIC] right now: use the live filter, group the results by theme, and tell me the bullish and bearish lean with the strongest posts on each side." 3. Attribute before you believe: check the handle, the timestamp and the engagement on anything that sounds like news, and treat a post-move pile-on as sentiment, not information. Tip: your bookmarks are the quiet goldmine here; ask for a themed digest of your recent bookmarks when the feed is too noisy to learn from. Safety: a skill is plain-text instructions plus a read-only CLI; it never posts, likes, retweets, replies or follows. Informational only, not investment advice.

Questions

How do I install a build?

Every product page includes a copy-paste install prompt. Paste it into your Muse and it sets the build up for you — no manual configuration.

Where does my money go?

Straight to the seller. Skill Harbor never processes payments: checkout happens on the seller’s own page, usually Stripe.

What does the ✓ next to a creator’s name mean?

It means we confirmed the identity of the person behind the listing. It says nothing about the code itself — always check a build before installing it.
