SEPA Strategy

Mark Minervini's SEPA system as a working checklist: stage analysis, the 8-condition trend template, fundamentals grading, VCP and other base patterns, pivot entries, and position sizing from your risk per trade.

⚠️ **Trading warning / Avertissement trading** : informational only, not investment advice. SEPA is a strict methodology with a stated win rate around 50 to 55 percent in the skill itself; its edge is supposed to come from risk discipline, not from predicting direction. Curated by Skill Harbor: the complete SEPA (Specific Entry Point Analysis) framework of Mark Minervini, organized as a gated checklist that stops early when a stock fails. It classifies the stock into one of four stages and only proceeds in Stage 2, scores the 8-condition trend template (the moving-average staircase, price position versus the 52-week range, and relative strength), grades the fundamentals A to D (quarterly EPS growth of 20 percent or more, acceleration, revenue growth, margin trend, institutional buying, catalysts), identifies the base pattern (VCP with its seven characteristics, cup with handle, flat base, bull flag, high tight flag), and defines the entry: a pivot breakout in the buy zone up to 5 percent above the pivot on volume of at least 1.5 times average, with the reward-to-risk checked before anything else. A market-environment check (bull, choppy, bear) sets the risk per trade, and the position size, stop placement, and three-phase stop evolution come from that risk budget. Market data can come from yfinance (free) or any data tool your agent has; the full methodology lives in seven included reference files. From the himself65/finance-skills repository (MIT). Honest caveats: the template is strict by design and most stocks fail it, which is the point, but it also means long stretches with no qualifying setup; relative-strength ratings may be unavailable from free data and the skill flags that gap rather than guessing; past superperformance methodology does not guarantee future results, and the verdicts (strong setup, watch list, pass) are educational labels, not buy signals. Skill Harbor never reviews the code, review it yourself before use.

How to check a build before installing →

Use "SEPA Strategy" with your Muse. Prerequisites: a market data source for prices, moving averages, and fundamentals; yfinance (free, installed by your agent if needed) works, and no paid subscription is required. Note that relative-strength ratings may be unavailable from free data and will be flagged as a gap. 1. Open the skill: https://github.com/himself65/finance-skills/blob/main/plugins/market-analysis/skills/sepa-strategy/SKILL.md and copy the full SKILL.md text (the skill also reads its seven included references/ files on stages, the trend template, fundamentals, patterns, entries, sizing, and market environment, keep the repo folder handy). 2. Paste it into a chat with Muse and add: "Run a full SEPA analysis on [TICKER]: stage, trend template scorecard, fundamentals grade, pattern, entry plan, and a position size for a [account size] account risking [1]% per trade." 3. Respect the gates: if the stock is not in Stage 2 or fails the trend template, the correct output is a pass or a watch-list note, not a forced entry plan. Tip: ask for the base count as well; a fifth or sixth base in the same advance is a very different proposition from a first base. Safety: a skill is plain-text instructions; it runs nothing by itself and places no trades. This is educational analysis only, not investment advice.

Questions

How do I install a build?

Every product page includes a copy-paste install prompt. Paste it into your Muse and it sets the build up for you — no manual configuration.

Where does my money go?

Straight to the seller. Skill Harbor never processes payments: checkout happens on the seller’s own page, usually Stripe.

What does the ✓ next to a creator’s name mean?

It means we confirmed the identity of the person behind the listing. It says nothing about the code itself — always check a build before installing it.
