OpenCLI Reader (Generic Fallback)

The generic read-only fallback for the 100 plus sources opencli supports when no dedicated reader covers them: Yahoo Finance, Bloomberg, Reddit, HackerNews, Xueqiu, Substack, arXiv and more.

⚠️ **Finance warning / Avertissement finance** : informational only, not investment advice. This fallback reads finance sites, communities, newsletters and research sources whose content ranges from regulated data to anonymous forum hype: the source changes the reliability completely, there is a real risk of loss in any trade taken from an unverified post or headline, and no output here is a promise of return. Curated by Skill Harbor: the generic opencli reader of himself65/finance-skills. Use it when the source you want has no dedicated reader: opencli supports over 100 sites through its adapter registry, including finance sources (Yahoo Finance, Bloomberg, Reuters, Barchart, Eastmoney, Xueqiu, Sinafinance), communities (Reddit, HackerNews, Weibo, Zhihu, Xiaohongshu, Bilibili), newsletters and blogs (Substack, Medium), research (arXiv, Google Scholar), podcasts and video, and a generic web reader. The skill is deliberately procedural: it first checks whether a dedicated reader fits better (Twitter, LinkedIn, Discord, Telegram and Y Combinator each have one, and those win), then discovers the real command from the live registry instead of guessing (opencli list, site help, command help), checks the adapter strategy before running (PUBLIC and LOCAL need no browser, COOKIE, HEADER, INTERCEPT and UI reuse your Chrome login through the Browser Bridge extension), and only then runs the read, small limits first, structured JSON output preferred. It also carries a self-repair path for broken adapters and refuses to fall back to ad-hoc scraping when a source is not in the registry at all. The skill is read-only: write commands that opencli exposes (post, like, comment, send, save, upvote, subscribe, follow, delete and the rest) must never be invoked, and the skill lists them so they can be skipped on sight. From the himself65/finance-skills repository (MIT). Honest caveats: browser-backed adapters see only what your own logged-in account sees and depend on the target site's current layout, rate limits on the target site can return empty results, and session details, cookies and CDP endpoints must stay private. Skill Harbor never reviews the code, review it yourself before use.

How to check a build before installing →

Use "OpenCLI Reader (Generic Fallback)" with your Muse. Prerequisites: Node.js 20 or later (or Bun 1.0 or later), opencli installed globally (npm install -g @jackwener/opencli); for adapters whose strategy is COOKIE, HEADER, INTERCEPT or UI, also the opencli Browser Bridge extension loaded in Chrome and your own account logged into the target site in that Chrome (PUBLIC and LOCAL adapters need no browser). This skill is READ-ONLY through your own accounts and sessions: it never runs write commands such as post, like, comment, send, save, upvote, subscribe, follow or delete. Informational only, not investment advice, and there is a real risk of loss in any trade taken from an unverified source. 1. Open the skill: https://github.com/himself65/finance-skills/blob/main/plugins/social-readers/skills/opencli-reader/SKILL.md and copy the full SKILL.md text. 2. Paste it into a chat with Muse and add: "Read this source for me with opencli: first check whether a dedicated reader covers it, then discover the exact command and its strategy from opencli list and the help output, and run the read with a small limit in JSON. Present it with source attribution. Read-only, run no write command." 3. If the command returns empty or errors, use the diagnostic re-run the skill describes and report the failure honestly instead of scraping the site another way. Tip: if your request names Twitter, LinkedIn, Discord, Telegram or Y Combinator, use that dedicated reader instead; this fallback is for everything else opencli covers. Safety: a skill is plain-text instructions; it runs nothing by itself. Read-only access, write commands skipped on sight. Informational only, not investment advice.

Questions

How do I install a build?

Every product page includes a copy-paste install prompt. Paste it into your Muse and it sets the build up for you — no manual configuration.

Where does my money go?

Straight to the seller. Skill Harbor never processes payments: checkout happens on the seller’s own page, usually Stripe.

What does the ✓ next to a creator’s name mean?

It means we confirmed the identity of the person behind the listing. It says nothing about the code itself — always check a build before installing it.
