LinkedIn Reader

Read LinkedIn for financial research through opencli and your own Chrome session: your feed, professional sentiment, and finance job search with rich filters. Read-only, it never posts or applies.

⚠️ **Finance warning / Avertissement finance** : informational only, not investment advice. A LinkedIn feed is a self-selected stream of professional self-presentation: confident posts about a company or a market are marketing as often as analysis, there is a real risk of loss in any decision taken from feed sentiment, and no output here is a promise of return. Curated by Skill Harbor: the LinkedIn reader of himself65/finance-skills. Use it to read LinkedIn for financial research through opencli, which reuses your existing Chrome login session through its Browser Bridge extension, with no API keys and no cookie extraction. It reads your home feed (author, headline, text, reactions, comments and URL per post) so you can see what professionals and analysts are posting about a company, a market or an earnings release and gauge the professional sentiment, and it searches jobs with filters for location, seniority, job type, remote, company and posting date, with an optional details mode that returns full descriptions. The skill is read-only by design and says so plainly: it does not post, like, comment, connect, message or apply. Results are presented leading with what matters for the research question, market commentary and earnings reactions highlighted, and jobs listed with title, company, location, salary when available, posting date and URL. From the himself65/finance-skills repository (MIT). Honest caveats: this runs through your own logged-in Chrome session, so it sees your feed as your account sees it; keep browser session details private, expect to log in again in Chrome when LinkedIn expires the session, and treat feed sentiment as context, never as evidence about a security. Skill Harbor never reviews the code, review it yourself before use.

How to check a build before installing →

Use "LinkedIn Reader" with your Muse. Prerequisites: Node.js 20 or later, opencli installed globally (npm install -g @jackwener/opencli), the opencli Browser Bridge extension loaded in Chrome (developer mode, load unpacked from the opencli releases), and your own LinkedIn account logged in at linkedin.com in that same Chrome. No API keys and no cookie extraction are involved: opencli reuses your existing browser session. This skill is READ-ONLY through your own account: it never posts, likes, comments, connects, messages or applies. Informational only, not investment advice, and there is a real risk of loss in any decision taken from feed sentiment. 1. Open the skill: https://github.com/himself65/finance-skills/blob/main/plugins/social-readers/skills/linkedin-reader/SKILL.md and copy the full SKILL.md text. 2. Paste it into a chat with Muse and add: "Run opencli doctor first, then read my LinkedIn timeline and report on the market and earnings commentary, attributed, with the bullish or bearish lean. Or, if I ask for jobs, search with the filters I give. Read-only, post nothing and apply to nothing." 3. If the session has expired, refresh linkedin.com in Chrome and log in again yourself, then retry. Tip: for jobs, always narrow with location, seniority and date filters before raising the limit; an unfiltered search returns noise, not a shortlist. Safety: a skill is plain-text instructions; it runs nothing by itself. Read-only access through your own Chrome session, no write commands. Informational only, not investment advice.

Questions

How do I install a build?

Every product page includes a copy-paste install prompt. Paste it into your Muse and it sets the build up for you — no manual configuration.

Where does my money go?

Straight to the seller. Skill Harbor never processes payments: checkout happens on the seller’s own page, usually Stripe.

What does the ✓ next to a creator’s name mean?

It means we confirmed the identity of the person behind the listing. It says nothing about the code itself — always check a build before installing it.
