Skill Harbor never reviews the code of a listed skill. These are dated facts about the install prompt and our install test, not a safety certification. Review a skill yourself before you install it. How we verify

Before you start: read this whole install prompt, tell me in a few lines what this skill does and what installing it involves, and wait for my go-ahead before you do anything else. Prerequisites: none for the install itself: no account, no API key, no paid service, nothing to install first. One cost to know about before using it: routing, map data, elevation, landmarks and the viewer are free, and free code-drawn placeholder art needs no account at all; only the generated scenery art costs money, on my own RetroDiffusion account, per picture (the file quotes $0.18 a picture at its October 2026 prices). The skill always prints an estimate first, quotes the exact total for free, and generates nothing until I pick a level and confirm a budget cap. Using the skill needs Node 18 or newer (the self-check wants Node 20+ and Playwright with Chromium). Install "pixel-path" for me. It turns any two places (optionally via waypoints) into a pixel-art fly-through of the real road: it routes the trip, bakes the real buildings, land cover, landmarks, hills and horizon from OpenStreetMap and elevation data, generates scenery art at a level of detail I choose, builds a page where I zoom along the route and scroll to go faster or slower, and runs a self-check that screenshots the result. Repository: https://github.com/jonwheatley/pixel-path (the skill is the whole repository at the pinned commit: SKILL.md at the root, with scripts/ and templates/) Pinned version: install the code at commit 74341a96bb81e95aa62137b435512c91d7355301 exactly. Do not substitute a newer version. If this commit is unreachable, stop and tell me. 1. Clone https://github.com/jonwheatley/pixel-path into a temporary folder, check out commit 74341a96bb81e95aa62137b435512c91d7355301, and copy the whole repository folder (everything except the .git folder) from that checkout. Read SKILL.md in full and read the scripts in scripts/, then tell me in plain words: what the skill does when used, which services it connects to, whether it reads or sends any personal information or keys, and anything that seems unusual. Stop on any red flag and tell me before going further. Confirm these points from the files: - The package is the whole repository, 23 files: SKILL.md (the method and the price table), ten plain readable Node scripts in scripts/ (route.mjs for routing and the estimate, bake.mjs for the map bake, kit.mjs with the art roles and prompt recipes, plan-art.mjs, placeholder-art.mjs for the free art, rd.mjs for the RetroDiffusion quote and generation, clean.mjs for art cleanup, viewer.mjs for serving a trip, check.mjs for the screenshot self-check, lib.mjs), templates/ (viewer.html, road.js, layout.js, palette.png and package.json, which become the trip page), docs/ demo images, and the plugin metadata, README and LICENSE. Nothing is obfuscated and the skill itself needs no npm install (plain Node 18+). - Nothing is sent anywhere during installation itself; the only download at install time is the repository from GitHub at the pinned commit. The files name no telemetry and no account of mine is touched. - The free services the scripts contact at use time are the public map stack, used politely (one script at a time per service, built-in pauses, everything cached in the trip's .cache so reruns cost the services nothing): OSRM for routing, Nominatim for geocoding, the Overpass API mirrors for OpenStreetMap data, Terrain Tiles for elevation and Wikidata for landmarks; setting PIXEL_PATH_USER_AGENT lets the services know who is asking. Attribution is a hard rule of the skill: the credits line (OpenStreetMap, OSRM, Terrain Tiles, Wikidata, RetroDiffusion) must stay visible wherever the fly-through is shown, and the baked data/ is a derived OpenStreetMap database that stays under the ODbL if I share it publicly. - The paid part is exactly one thing: scenery pictures from RetroDiffusion (POST https://api.retrodiffusion.ai/v2/inferences with my token as the X-RD-Token header). Before any generation, route.mjs prints an estimate per level (placeholders $0, sparse, moderate, detailed) and rd.mjs quote gives the exact total and my account balance for free; generation (rd.mjs run --budget <cap>) happens only after I confirm the budget, every job is reserved in art/ledger.json before it is paid, the run stops rather than go over the budget or the balance, and reruns never pay twice. My key hygiene is written into the skill: I set RETRODIFFUSION_API_KEY in my own terminal (or store it in the macOS Keychain); the key is never asked for in the chat and never printed, echoed or written to a file, and rd.mjs exits with code 3 when there is no key. - One disclosure the skill itself insists on, repeated here so I hear it before any signup: if I have no RetroDiffusion account, the skill sends me to https://www.retrodiffusion.ai?ref=YBQJM823 and states that it is an affiliate link, meaning the skill's author gets a referral. Knowing that, the account and any spend are my own choice. - Outputs are a trip folder on my machine (index.html, road.js, layout.js, data/, art/) that I open through a local server (scripts/viewer.mjs --serve, or any static server; file:// does not work) or host myself, uploading everything except .cache/, art/raw/ and art/ledger.json. Baking takes about 20 to 60 seconds per 10 km. The self-check (check.mjs) needs Node 20+ and Playwright with Chromium (npm i -D playwright and npx playwright install chromium, in the trip or project) and without them the skill must say plainly that the trip was not swept. 3. When I say "yes, install", install it as a skill: copy the whole repository folder (everything except .git) into the agent's skills directory, in a folder named "pixel-path", keeping all 23 files. The upstream routes, npx skills add jonwheatley/pixel-path or the Claude Code plugin from this repository ("pixel-path"), install the same content; either route is fine as long as every file matches the fingerprints. 4. Verify with no network calls: frontmatter valid, all 23 files in place. 5. Report what was installed, where, and what I still need to do myself (for example: have Node 18+ ready, decide myself whether to open a RetroDiffusion account for generated art (the affiliate link above) or stay with free placeholder art, set my key in my own terminal if I do, and name the two places myself; using the skill is a separate step that only starts when I ask for it, and the use-time service calls and any spend disclosed above happen only then, inside a budget I confirm first). GitHub is optional: if I have a GitHub account or the gh CLI, you may use it; otherwise public access is fine. Never require it unless it's in the prerequisites above. Rules: don't touch anything outside the temp folder and the install target. If anything looks off, stop and ask me.

Questions

How do I install a build?

Every product page includes a copy-paste install prompt. Paste it into your Muse and it sets the build up for you — no manual configuration.

Where does my money go?

Straight to the seller. Skill Harbor never processes payments: checkout happens on the seller’s own page, usually Stripe.

What does the ✓ next to a creator’s name mean?

It means we confirmed the identity of the person behind the listing. It says nothing about the code itself — always check a build before installing it.
