⚠️ **Trading warning / Avertissement trading** : informational only, not investment advice. Connected to the live port, this skill reads a real brokerage account holding real money. Curated by Skill Harbor: your own Interactive Brokers positions, read on your own machine. The skill connects to Trader Workstation or IB Gateway running locally with the API enabled and returns your current positions as structured JSON: symbol, quantity, average cost, market value, and unrealized profit and loss. It defaults to the paper-trading port (7497), accepts the live port (7496) or an IB_PORT environment variable, and if the configured port fails it retries the other one and remembers which account type answered. Once installed, asking what you own and what it is worth right now becomes a chat question instead of a platform session. It runs as a Python script (scripts/portfolio.py, needs the ib-async library) from the staskh/trading_skills repo. From the staskh/trading_skills repository (MIT). Honest caveats: know which account you are connected to before trusting the numbers (the automatic port fallback makes this worth double-checking, because paper and live balances look alike in a table); as documented, the skill fetches and reports positions and places no orders; your IB login stays inside TWS or Gateway on your machine, and account credentials never belong in a chat. Skill Harbor never reviews the code, review it yourself before use.

Use "IB Portfolio Positions" with your Muse. ⚠️ REAL BROKERAGE ACCOUNT, READ THIS FIRST: this skill connects to Interactive Brokers through TWS or IB Gateway running on YOUR machine with the API enabled. You log in inside TWS or Gateway yourself; never paste account credentials, passwords, or account numbers into a chat. The default port 7497 is a PAPER account with simulated money; port 7496 is your LIVE account with real money. Start on paper, and know that if the configured port fails the skill retries the other port, so always confirm which account type answered before trusting the numbers. Prerequisites: an Interactive Brokers account, TWS or IB Gateway installed and running locally with API access enabled, and the repo cloned (git clone https://github.com/staskh/trading_skills); the skill needs the ib-async library, installed through the repo project, and its scripts run with uv (uv run python) or plain python. 1. Open the skill: https://github.com/staskh/trading_skills/blob/main/.claude/skills/ib-portfolio/SKILL.md and copy the full SKILL.md text. 2. Paste it into a chat with Muse and add: "Connect to my IB Gateway on the paper port and show my current positions: symbol, quantity, average cost, market value, and unrealized profit and loss. Tell me which port and account type answered." 3. Before using any figure, confirm the account type in the answer matches the account you meant to inspect; paper and live positions are formatted identically. Tip: set IB_PORT in a .env file to your usual setup so the paper versus live choice is deliberate, not typed from memory. Safety: a skill is plain-text instructions; it runs nothing by itself. As documented this skill fetches and reports positions and places no orders. This is informational only, not investment advice, and your IB credentials stay in your local gateway, never in a chat.

Questions
How do I install a build?
Every product page includes a copy-paste install prompt. Paste it into your Muse and it sets the build up for you — no manual configuration.
Where does my money go?
Straight to the seller. Skill Harbor never processes payments: checkout happens on the seller’s own page, usually Stripe.
What does the ✓ next to a creator’s name mean?
It means we confirmed the identity of the person behind the listing. It says nothing about the code itself — always check a build before installing it.
