⚠️ **Trading warning / Avertissement trading** : informational only, not investment advice. Short interest, borrow costs and insider activity are facts about positioning, not predictions: a heavily shorted stock can keep falling, a squeeze setup can fail, and trading on any of it carries a real risk of loss. No output here is a promise of return. Curated by Skill Harbor: a read-only bridge to Fintel (fintel.io), an institutional market intelligence platform whose strongest datasets are the ones most providers lack. Through the REST API, or the official MCP server backed by the same data contract, it covers short interest and days to cover, borrow rate and shares available to borrow, daily short volume, SEC fails-to-deliver records, 13F institutional owners, insider buying and selling from SEC Form 3, 4 and 5 filings, analyst price targets and ratings, revenue and EPS forecasts, end-of-day and last prices, dividend and earnings history and calendars, leaderboards, and the user's own watchlists and alerts. Securities resolve by ticker, company name, CUSIP, ISIN or FIGI, and answers are formatted with context (short interest as a share of float, days to cover, borrow fee direction) rather than raw numbers alone. From the himself65/finance-skills repository (MIT). Honest caveats: both surfaces need a Fintel API key from a Fintel API plan, kept in the FINTEL_API_KEY environment variable or a local .env file, never in the chat; some datasets, short interest in particular, must be enabled per account and return a 403 when the plan does not include them; usage is metered per account, so batch questions instead of polling; and the skill deliberately refuses the API's write endpoints, using GET requests only. Skill Harbor never reviews the code, review it yourself before use.

Install
Copy the install package below, then paste it into MuseThe install prompt below already includes the vetting steps: your agent follows the community checklist before installing anything with executable code. Want more?
Use "Fintel Data" with your Muse. Prerequisites: a Fintel account with an API plan (fintel.io; docs at api.fintel.io/docs) and your Fintel API key stored in the FINTEL_API_KEY environment variable or a local .env file, never pasted into the chat. Some datasets such as short interest must be enabled on your account. The REST route needs only curl; the optional MCP route is the official server at mcp.fintel.io. 1. Open the skill: https://github.com/himself65/finance-skills/blob/main/plugins/data-providers/skills/fintel-data/SKILL.md and copy the full SKILL.md text (the skill also reads its included references/api-reference.md, keep the repo folder handy). 2. Paste it into a chat with Muse and add: "For [TICKER], pull the short interest and days to cover, the current borrow rate and shares available, and the latest insider transactions, with the data source named for each." 3. Read positioning data as context, not as a call: ask what changed (borrow fee direction, insider buys versus sells and option exercises) before drawing any conclusion. Tip: if a dataset returns 403, that is an entitlement limit on your Fintel plan, not a broken skill; check your account before debugging the request. Safety: a skill is plain-text instructions; it runs nothing by itself and only reads data (GET endpoints only, never the API's write endpoints). Informational only, not investment advice, and never a squeeze prediction.

Questions
How do I install a build?
Every product page includes a copy-paste install prompt. Paste it into your Muse and it sets the build up for you — no manual configuration.
Where does my money go?
Straight to the seller. Skill Harbor never processes payments: checkout happens on the seller’s own page, usually Stripe.
What does the ✓ next to a creator’s name mean?
It means we confirmed the identity of the person behind the listing. It says nothing about the code itself — always check a build before installing it.
