⚠️ **Finance warning / Avertissement finance** : informational only, not investment advice. A forecast is a structured guess, not a fact about the future: actual results routinely miss projections, cash plans built on optimistic drivers run dry, losses are possible, and no projection here is a promise of return. Curated by Skill Harbor: the budget forecasting skill of GAJETOso/financeskills, written from the seat of an FP&A manager. Use it to create a budget, forecast future performance, model a burn rate, or set up budget versus actual tracking for a business unit or product line. The assessment comes first: the forecasting horizon (short-term monthly, annual, or long-term three to five years), the primary revenue drivers (units, price, retention) and cost drivers (headcount, marketing, COGS), and the historical context, ideally two to three years of actuals, plus any major expected shifts in strategy or market. The framework then runs in priority order: revenue modeling first, then resource allocation (headcount and operating expense planning), cash flow impact, scenario analysis across best, worst and base cases, and variance tracking. The revenue model is built bottom-up from sales pipeline, churn rates and average contract value, with seasonal adjustments from historical trends, and expenses are split honestly into fixed costs (rent, salaries, depreciation) and variable costs (commissions, cloud hosting, variable marketing). Sensitivity analysis is built in as what-if modeling, for example what a one point churn increase does to the end-of-year cash balance. The output is a financial plan with an executive summary (key targets for revenue, EBITDA and net cash flow, and the major assumptions listed openly), monthly or quarterly P&L projections, a headcount plan, a capital expenditure roadmap, and a risk and scenarios section with a bull versus bear matrix. From the GAJETOso/financeskills repository (MIT). Honest caveats: the quality of the forecast is capped by the quality of your historical actuals and your driver assumptions, both yours to supply and to check. Skill Harbor never reviews the code, review it yourself before use.

Install
Copy the install package below, then paste it into MuseThe install prompt below already includes the vetting steps: your agent follows the community checklist before installing anything with executable code. Want more?
Use "Budget Forecast" with your Muse. Prerequisites: two to three years of historical actuals to build from where available, your revenue drivers (units, price, retention or churn, average contract value) and cost drivers (headcount, marketing, COGS), the horizon you want (monthly, annual, or three to five years), and any major strategy or market shift to bake in. A spreadsheet tool or Python helps you keep the plan: this skill produces the plan structure and figures in prose, and every assumption in it is yours to verify. Informational only, not investment advice. 1. Open the skill: https://github.com/GAJETOso/financeskills/blob/main/skills/budget-forecast/SKILL.md and copy the full SKILL.md text. 2. Paste it into a chat with Muse and add: "Build the plan: bottom-up revenue model with seasonal adjustments, fixed and variable expense planning, the cash flow impact, base, bull and bear scenarios, and the budget versus actual framework for tracking." 3. Run the sensitivity on your most fragile driver before you present the plan, and list the major assumptions next to the targets. Tip: keep the assumptions list in the executive summary, not buried; a forecast whose drivers are visible is one a reader can actually challenge. Safety: a skill is plain-text instructions; it runs nothing by itself. Planning and analysis only, no orders and no account access. Informational only, not investment advice.

Questions
How do I install a build?
Every product page includes a copy-paste install prompt. Paste it into your Muse and it sets the build up for you — no manual configuration.
Where does my money go?
Straight to the seller. Skill Harbor never processes payments: checkout happens on the seller’s own page, usually Stripe.
What does the ✓ next to a creator’s name mean?
It means we confirmed the identity of the person behind the listing. It says nothing about the code itself — always check a build before installing it.
