Primary path is React Native via Metro: needs the Metro dev server running (default localhost:8081) and an RN app connected to it — on Android, remember `adb reverse tcp:8081 tcp:8081` first. `debugger-status` tells you whether you're connected and why not; then inspect the React component tree, inspect elements, evaluate expressions, reload Metro, and use the react-profiler and profiler tools. A subset of the tools (connect, status, evaluate, log-registry, network logs) also drives a Chromium app's renderer (Electron or any Chromium browser exposing a CDP port) through the same surface. Honest limits, straight from the docs: physical iPhone is not supported (every `debugger-*` tool rejects `kind: "device"`); Vega/Fire TV needs a Debug `.vpkg` (Release builds never attach); several tools are RN-only and reject Chromium at the capability gate.
