The Reddit Community Starter is the full starter kit from two live communities: rules, AutoMod, pinned threads, and the moderation habits that kept early members posting. A new subreddit dies from two things, no clear rules and no reason to come back, and this kit addresses both, assuming a human moderator rather than a bot: automation handles the boring enforcement, you handle the people. It starts with a 10-rule set you adapt freely: stay on topic, be kind, no vulgar content, no misinformation, respect privacy, no piracy, self-promo with context encouraged, no bare links or reposts, referral codes only in the pinned megathread, and mods have the final word politely. Nobody reads 25 rules, so the count stays low and each rule earns its place. The pinned-thread strategy pins exactly two threads: the themed discussion or build thread at #1 (the reason to return weekly, refreshed on a schedule) and the referral and code megathread at #2 (the funnel that keeps codes out of the feed). The AutoMod config covers three policies with copy-paste YAML: link policy per thread type (links welcome in effort threads, bare link posts held for review elsewhere), the referral-code funnel (comments auto-approved inside the megathread, removed elsewhere with a redirect message naming the rule), and per-thread exemptions by thread id for special cases. The human habits are the part no config replaces: every removal gets a short modmail naming the rule and where the content belongs, never a silent removal; Reddit's own spam-filter removals are left alone unless wrong; if Reddit removes something, it stays removed; and automated posting stays off until explicitly re-authorized. Growth comes from seeding real content yourself, replying sincerely to every early commenter, and cross-linking with your other communities, never from mentioning bans or removals publicly.

Install
Copy the install package below, then paste it into MuseCommunity-built. Skill Harbor doesn't audit code — review the source before installing.
Launch your subreddit in five steps. You need: a Reddit account old enough to create a community, and moderator access. 1. Rules: publish the 10-rule starter set (sidebar + rules page), adapted to your topic: on-topic, be kind, no vulgar content, no misinformation, respect privacy, no piracy, self-promo with context encouraged, no bare links or reposts, referral codes only in the pinned megathread, mods have the final word politely. Add a welcome post: what the sub is for, the two pinned threads, one genuine question for the comments. 2. Pinned threads: pin exactly two. #1 is the themed discussion or build thread (refresh it on a schedule, it is the reason to return). #2 is the referral and code megathread (the funnel keeping codes out of the feed). 3. AutoMod: open Mod Tools, AutoModerator, and paste the three policies. Link policy per thread type (approve links in Build/Showcase/Tutorial flairs, filter bare link posts elsewhere). Referral funnel (auto-approve comments inside the megathread by post id, remove referral-looking comments elsewhere with a redirect message). Per-thread exemptions by id for special threads. Replace the placeholder post ids with your real base-36 thread ids, then test each rule with a throwaway post. 4. Habits: every removal gets a short modmail naming the rule and where the content belongs. Leave Reddit's spam-filter removals alone unless wrong. If Reddit removes something, leave it removed. 5. Growth: seed up to ~3 real posts per day (no filler), reply sincerely to every early commenter, cross-link with your newsletter or group. Keep automated posting OFF until you explicitly re-authorize it, and never create alt accounts to seed activity. Published text is always your own words; drafts from an AI are thinking tools only.

Questions
How do I install a build?
Every product page includes a copy-paste install prompt. Paste it into your Muse and it sets the build up for you — no manual configuration.
Where does my money go?
Straight to the seller. Skill Harbor never processes payments: checkout happens on the seller’s own page, usually Stripe.
What does the ✓ next to a creator’s name mean?
It means we confirmed the identity of the person behind the listing. It says nothing about the code itself — always check a build before installing it.
