Nausika Sailing Passage Planning Skill for Muse
Plan sea passages with real marine data — routing, wind, waves, tides, anchorages
- What
- Plan sea passages with real marine data — routing, wind, waves, tides, anchorages
- Cost
- Free
- Needs
- the Nausika MCP server connected to the agent — install the nausika-setup skill or the Nausika plugin first (the passage-planning skill refuses to improvise without it). No API keys required. A boat with a known cruising speed helps (or it defaults to 6 kn).
- Install
- Copy the installer prompt below into your Muse — your agent does the rest.
Turns Muse into a disciplined sailing-passage planner driven by real marine data through the Nausika MCP tools: it geocodes every place name first (never coordinates from memory), pulls marine forecasts at origin, destination, and turning waypoints with forecast-horizon presets (now / today / tactical 3-day / planning 8-day / extended 14-day), computes sea distances by routing around land (Mediterranean sea-lane graph), finds marinas, anchorages, and shelter along the route with depth, holding, exposure, and ratings, quotes tides honestly (across most of the Mediterranean the range is under 0.3 m — negligible, and the skill says so instead of dressing it up), and delivers a leg-by-leg passage plan table (bearing, distance in nautical miles, ETA at boat speed, wind/sea, shelter) ending with the weather window, a go/no-go call, and fallback ports. Discovered via skills.sh. Honest note: the skill is only the workflow — it needs the Nausika MCP server connected to the agent (install the nausika-setup skill or the Nausika plugin first; without it the skill refuses to improvise a substitute); sea routing covers the Mediterranean basin only, while forecasts, tides, and geocoding are worldwide; and Nausika is data, not advice — it does not replace charts, pilot books, or notices to mariners, and the skipper decides. Skill Harbor never reviews the code, review it yourself before use. Not verified.

Install
Prerequisites: the Nausika MCP server connected to the agent — install the nausika-setup skill or the Nausika plugin first (the passage-planning skill refuses to improvise without it). No API keys required. A boat with a known cruising speed helps (or it defaults to 6 kn). Install "Nausika Sailing Passage Planning Skill for Muse" for me. A disciplined sailing-passage planner driven by real marine data via the Nausika MCP tools: place-name geocoding first, marine forecasts at origin/destination/waypoints with horizon presets, sea routing around land (Mediterranean sea-lane graph), marina/anchorage/shelter lookup with depth, holding, exposure, and ratings, honest tide reporting, and a leg-by-leg passage plan table ending with the weather window, a go/no-go call, and fallback ports. Repository: https://github.com/nausika-app/nausika-skills/blob/main/nausika-passage-planning/SKILL.md 1. Fetch the SKILL.md file (and any helper files) from the repository path into a temporary folder and summarize what it does in one or two sentences. 2. Safety check: review the SKILL.md and scripts for anything suspicious (unexpected network calls, shell commands, credential harvesting). This repo should contain zero secrets in code, credentials only via the secure vault, allowed hosts declared in the SKILL.md. Verify that holds here; STOP on any red flag and tell me. 3. Install it as a skill: copy SKILL.md and its helper files into the agent's skills directory, in a folder named "nausika-passage-planning". 4. Verify with no network calls: frontmatter valid, files in place. 5. Report what was installed, where, and what I still need to do myself (e.g. connect the Nausika MCP server via the nausika-setup skill or plugin, and optionally save my boat's cruising speed and consumption). GitHub is optional: if I have a GitHub account or the gh CLI, you may use it; otherwise public access is fine. Never require it unless it's in the prerequisites above. Rules: don't touch anything outside the temp folder and the install target. If anything looks off, stop and ask me.
Questions
How do I install a build?
Every product page includes a copy-paste install prompt. Paste it into your Muse and it sets the build up for you — no manual configuration.
Where does my money go?
Straight to the seller. Skill Harbor never processes payments: checkout happens on the seller’s own page, usually Stripe.
What does the ✓ next to a creator’s name mean?
It means we confirmed the identity of the person behind the listing. It says nothing about the code itself — always check a build before installing it.
