Directory Submissions Skill for Muse **Nom FR:** Skill Soumissions aux Annuaires pour Muse **Tagline EN:** Launch-day directory playbook for backlinks that compound **Tagline FR:** Le guide des annuaires pour des backlinks qui rapportent **Créateur:** @coreyhaines31 **URL source:** https://github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills/blob/main/skills/directory-submissions/SKILL.md **Licence — Type — Catégorie — Mots-clés:** MIT — Skill — Marketing — directory submissions, product launch, backlinks, Product Hunt, G2 reviews, SEO, GEO, AI citations, startup directories **Description EN:** Curated by Skill Harbor — a free, open-source skill (MIT) by @coreyhaines31, listed here with credit to its creator. Runs the directory layer of a product launch as a compounding backlink and discovery foundation: three hard rules first (never submit before the landing page is live and indexed with pricing, privacy/terms, assets, and a demo video; build destination pages — competitor-alternative pages, use-case pages, template galleries — before chasing directories; vary positioning per directory type instead of copy-pasting), then a tiered submission catalog from the Product Hunt anchor launch through startup/SaaS directories, AI directories, agent/MCP registries, no-code directories, review sites, and niche verticals, with a submission tracker. It includes a full Product Hunt deep dive (3-week prep timeline, launch-day execution where comment quality outranks upvote count, post-launch recap), a G2/Capterra 10-in-30 review protocol, and GEO tactics so landing pages get cited by AI engines (single H1, FAQ schema, comparison tables, original research). Discovered via skills.sh. Honest note: directories alone won't generate meaningful leads — they're the foundation, not the strategy; several tactics are time-stamped (G2 2026 report cutoffs, Product Hunt algorithm claims) and may drift, so treat dates as of the skill's writing; and the Phase-0 readiness checklist is real work — a "no" on core items blocks submission until the asset exists. Skill Harbor never reviews the code, review it yourself before use. Not verified. **Install prompt EN:** ``` Prerequisites: a publicly accessible product with a live pricing page, privacy policy + terms, logo assets, 5–8 real screenshots, and a 60–90s demo video (the skill's Phase-0 readiness checklist — a "no" on core items blocks submission); accounts on the directories you target (Product Hunt, G2, etc.) as needed. No API keys. Install "Directory Submissions Skill for Muse" for me. This repo should contain zero secrets in code, credentials only via the secure vault, allowed hosts declared in the SKILL.md. Verify that holds here; STOP on any red flag and tell me. 3. Install it as a skill: copy SKILL.md and its helper files into the agent's skills directory, in a folder named "directory-submissions". 4. Verify with no network calls: frontmatter valid, files in place. 5. Report what was installed, where, and what I still need to do myself (e.g. run through the 9-question readiness assessment and prepare the missing Phase-0 assets: pricing page, screenshots, demo video, destination pages). GitHub is optional: if I have a GitHub account or the gh CLI, you may use it; otherwise public access is fine. Never require it unless it's in the prerequisites above. Rules: don't touch anything outside the temp folder and the install target. ```

Questions

How do I install a build?

Every product page includes a copy-paste install prompt. Paste it into your Muse and it sets the build up for you — no manual configuration.

Where does my money go?

Straight to the seller. Skill Harbor never processes payments: checkout happens on the seller’s own page, usually Stripe.

What does the ✓ next to a creator’s name mean?

It means we confirmed the identity of the person behind the listing. It says nothing about the code itself — always check a build before installing it.
